Abyssine Cream Review
Abyssine Cream comes from Kiehl’s, which is sold in stores like Nordstroms as well as stores comparable to Walmart. It has been around for about 150 years, give or take a few years, and they have produced skin care products in all that time.
They have recently broken into the wrinkle care industry with this cream, which they claim will reduce fine lines and wrinkles. They also claim it will attack free radicals to diminish their damage.
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Disclosed ingredients of Abyssine Cream include water, cyclohexasiloxane, glycerin, apricot, cetyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, corn starch, petroleum, glyceryl stearate, potassium cetyl phosphate, PEG-40 stearate, sorbitan tristearate, beeswax, dimethiconol phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, capryl glycol, palmitoyl hydrolyzed wheat, arginine, tocopherol, gingko biloba, adenosine, hydrolyzed soy, alteromonas ferment extract, algae extract, and frila.
There is not a single wrinkle wrinkle fighting ingredient in there, and there is all of one antioxidant that might fight free radicals. Most of them are preservatives, some industrial chemicals, and a few moisturizers. At least they have moisturizers right?
Overall Impression of Abyssine Cream:
Abyssine Cream is nothing more than a glorified moisturizer for the most part made up of preservatives. There really is no full ingredients list, and considering they present their best face, that’s not a good sign. In short, it means they definitely have a mediocre formula, which we could really see right off the bat.
