Biotherm Skin Vivo Review
Biotherm has created a line of anti-aging skin care products called ‘Skin Vivo.’ They claim that this line will take 10 years off of your face in 4 weeks. The line includes two creams – one for normal and one for dry skin – as well as a serum, a night cream, and an eye cream. The eye cream is a creamy gel that is applied to the under eye and immediately begins to lighten the area. Ophthalmologist tested, this product contains the same active ingredients found in all the of ‘Skin Vivo’ line.
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
There were no full lists available for the Biotherm Skin Vivo line. The website only gives the four active ingredients.
Pure Thermal Plankton – Provides Epidermal structural repair with an intensive “filler action” which visibly helps to fill deep wrinkles, particularly effective for mature skin
Reverserol SV – Uses DNA repair to rejuvenate skin and
Silicium -Helps to build the macromolecules that make connective tissue: elastin, collagen, proteoglycans and glycoproteins.
Bio-Peptides – Stimulates cell activity by interacting with molecules that can signal cells to produce more collagen, stimulating cell renewal and cell turnover, and diminishing wrinkles
Peptides are shown to be the most effective of the ingredients listed here. Peptides stimulate collagen production, which fills in the deep lines and creates smoother skin. The issue is that bio-peptides were the last ingredient listed, which means that there are probably not enough peptides contained in this product to be effective. At least three peptides are needed for the collagen production to take place, and only one is listed.
Overall Impression of Biotherm Skin Vivo:
Some women found that the product was effective, but that it stung when applied. We feel that there are not enough active ingredients in the product to deliver the results it promises.
