It’s a weird phenomenon. I’ve seen people who look young. But for some reason, they have developed wrinkles around the eyes. I knew a family growing up who, even as 6 year old children, always had noticeable dark circles under their eyes, which is entirely genetic. But while some have successfully used some pretty impressive wrinkle creams, they never seem to work around the eyes, which is why we created eye creams!
Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery promises consumers that their formula and their formula alone is “dedicated to correct, repair, and maintain the sensitive skin around the eyes.” They claim to make a difference with the first use, and it will supposedly moisturize while boosting production of collagen and elastin. So where is this magical formula, and what’s it made of?
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery key ingredients include Matrixyl 3000, Haloxyl, and Eyeliss.
We don’t say this about many products. But Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery actually has clinically proven wrinkle fighting ingredients. More specifically, they have Eyeliss, a peptide specially designed to work around the eyes. Believe it or not, we’re as surprised as you are! We’ve been through hundreds of different eye creams, each proving to be worse than its predecessors! But in this way, Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery is different. Go figure. It’s not perfect by any means.
Actually, we are not sure that Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery works. While we hail them for finally using ingredients clinically proven to do the job right, it’s just not what we would hope for. First, they do not have a full ingredients list. They give you their word that they don’t use parabens, fragrances, or other irritants. But they obviously lack the confidence to really tell you what they do have.
When you also consider the fact that most products that do this don’t care to use the clinically proven amounts of ingredients like eyeliss and matrixyl…..it’s doomsday if you actually try using it on your face. They may as well use all of the fillers and preservatives, skipping out on these active ingredients considering the final results.
Overall Impression of Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery:
If we seem rather negative, it’s because we are. We don’t like most eye creams or wrinkle creams, because(we apologize if you don’t like this concept), we expect wrinkle creams to reduce or eliminate your wrinkles! And how could they possibly do that without the clinically proven ingredients, especially when they use so many ingredients that accelerate the process of premature aging! We hope you see our point. While we may be initially impressed by products like Jouvaderm Eye Gel Recovery, we expect more than they give.
