Prevage MD Review
What is this? You put MD at the end of your name, and suddenly your product becomes more credible! To be clear, we have not found an “MD” product that has anything to offer at all, but the supposed MD at the end of their names. Prevage MD is a cream developed by Allergan, the makers of botox, and it is sold apparently exclusively through physicians. But it is not a prescription, and it is not FDA approved. An interesting paradox, you might agree. They claim it will protect your skin from cigarettes, the sun, ozone depletion, and air pollution. Interestingly enough, you might notice that they don’t actually claim to get rid of wrinkles, or maybe they just imply it.
Price:$115
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Prevage MD uses coenzyme Q10. But they don’t name any of their other ingredients. they claim it can reduce damage and prevent wrinkles, but they again don’t say that it can actually reduce or get rid of wrinkles. Coenzyme Q10 is a powerful antioxidant. But it doesn’t necessarily work as well as they might claim or you might think on its own.
Overall Impression of Prevage MD:
For the benefits you might or might not get from this product, you could drink more green tea and buy a $5 sunscreen, all in all costing you about $10 a month instead of $115. At least they don’t actually say their product will get rid of wrinkles. But again, you really don’t need to visit your doctor to get antioxidants or a basic sunscreen. And by the way, Prevage MD doesn’t really work to protect your skin from the sun as a sunscreen would.
