Relastin Review
Relastin is the only wrinkle cream we’ve seen to actually claim to exclusively promote the growth of elastin, the part of your skin that maintains its ability to stretch and fall back into place.
Like collagen, elastin decreases over the years, and hence, you get sagging and in some ways wrinkled features. But to decrease wrinkles, you really need to restore both elements instead of just one.
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Relastin ingredients include cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethicone, phenoxyethanol, zinc citrate, mica, and titanium dioxide.
All of these are moisturizers or preservatives. They specifically use two types of dimethicone, and then they use preservatives like mica and titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide can make your skin red, inflamed, sensitive to the sun, etc. Essentially, it breaks down important factors like collagen and elastin, making your skin age faster.
Overall Impression of Relastin:
Relastin has no redeeming values or qualities. There are no wrinkle fighters and no elastin builders or collagen builders. They set their whole formula on false premises, and you would not benefit from its use, especially at the cost of $69! Even at $5, the damage to your skin would be unacceptable. But at this cost, it is far beyond that.
