What is Almay Kinetin?
Almay Kinetin promises that you can reduce fine lines by 45%, discoloration by 47%, and improve texture by 77% with their select formula. Almay products have been around since 1931, but these are pretty specific numbers that we have not actually seen in any wrinkle ingredient study. Still, we admit we could have missed one or two.
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Almay Kinetin uses 2 named ingredients: kinetin and gluconamide. These are the only ingredients provided. The rest are left up to your fertile imagination. Kinetin has been tested on animals. But considering the only animals that have wrinkles are meant to have wrinkles and are essentially born with them, this doesn’t tell us anything. It has also not been tested on humans. Glucomanide has no studies whatsoever.
Overall Impression of Almay Kinetin:
We suspect that Almay Kinetin put numbers 1 through 100 into a computer and essentially allowed it to pull randomized numbers out of those 100 numbers to provide the percentages given. There is no scientific basis for their claims, and really there is no basis in reality. If these are the two best ingredients they have, what does that really say about the rest of the formula?
